Hi All
I'm wanting to create a talkback solution for my mobile recording setup. Basically a mac (Lion) running Pro tools 10 (native) and a ULN-2. I want to use both ULN-2 mic inputs for tracking so wondering if it will be possible to hook up a USB mic to the mac for talkback and bring that into the session on an input? Will that work? Are there limitations MIO/core audio wise with USB mics?
Failing the USB route I guess I could try find a cheap mic with a spdif or aes output and bring that into the ULN-2?
Anyone have any experience with a setup working or advice before I run to the store:)

Your safest bet may be to use an external converter and route the talkback mic directly into the ULN-2; Aggregate devices in Core Audio (which are necessary to use two different interfaces with the same host) can add processing overhead. You may want to check with Avid to confirm their support of Aggregates in Pro Tools as well.
