Hi folks, happy to have joined this community.

I am just getting to know my second hand ULN-2 DSP. I will get the 2D card at some stage, but will wait for the box to earn some money first.
I do all sorts of recording; I have my studio, I have a bunch of semi-portable gear for live recordings, and I have my Imac at home. My real love is two-track live recording, and that is why I got the ULN-2.
I do a bit of work in the local folk scene here in Perth W. Australia, and using the box in an MS configuration works brilliantly for many +/- acoustic artists and groups.

My question is this:

Many times I would like just a few more channels to catch a few more sources. Is it possible to use external pres, mixer outs and other sources to augment the ULN-2 and record more tracks in the "Recorder" app?

I guess I mean creating an aggregate device in OSX; or do I have to get the 2d and use its ADAT interface?

Hopefully this is not an idiot's question! I've been in the game for centuries, but I'm quite new to MH gear.

Cheers!
Steve

Hi Steve,
To use external pres with the Record Panel you would have to connect them via the ULN-2's digital inputs. On a Legacy ULN-2 you could use either the AES or SPDIF inputs, on a 2d Expanded box you could use AES or SPDIF and ADAT.
