Apologies if this has been asked, but I'm not getting anywhere with search (or Google)...

Essentially what I want to be able to do is mute the output to the monitors and still hear the return from DAW (along with the inputs I might be recording) in the headphones. The way it would work if there were a dedicated mute button on the front of the ULN-2. How might I go about setting that up in MIO?

So far I've just been turning my monitors off physically, but I don't like that as a long term solution.

Still wrapping my head around what the MIO console can do, but so far I haven't been able to figure this out. Wink

thanks

Assuming you're talking about a ULN-2, this can't be done in software if you are using the Monitor outputs to drive your speakers since they are fed from the same bus as the Cans.

As an alternative you could connect your monitors to the Analog 1/2 outputs and send your listening bus to the Monitor Controller as well as the Monitor bus. Once you create an output path for Analog 1/2 in the Monitor Controller, you would change the level of the speakers with the Monitor Controller and adjust the Cans level from the front panel knob.

Ahh, I see. Was afraid of that. Don't know that I want to lose the use of the front panel volume knob, so i guess I'll leave it as is.

thanks Allen
