Hello

I'm doing a mastering (I'm not used to, usually I mix/produce) and I'm trying to figure out how to use MS decoder...

From what I understand the 1st channel is the Mid the 2nd channel is the Side

What I would do is routing the 1st channel to another track called MID and the 2nd channel to another two mono tracks that will be placed out of phase one another

Is that right? Am I doing mistakes here? Because I'm not used to use M/S processing.. usually the closest thing I used to do is microphone MS recording

I would like to be able to place a MIO Strip in the Mid signal and a MIO strips on the Side signal (so the two mono tracks used for side will be routed to another stereo track)

I'd like to do this in the MIO Console, without routing the tracks back to Pro Tools.

Is that possible without +DSP?

Or it is better if I just record the MS decoder signal in two tracks in PT and send them to the MIO Console

Thanks
