My 2010 MBP's graphics card is going out, so I bought a new MBP 15 inch i7 2.8 quad core yesterday. I need to get everything up and running on my new one with Mavericks. I have all the cd's that came with the installation, but, these new MBP's don't have a DVD slot. Can I download everything I need or must I buy a DVD drive to load the software etc. on my new computer? Can some kind soul walk me through this transition?

I've been trying to login to the forum for two days entering the same login name and password finally after 20 attempts it worked!
