Hi there,
Noobie alert!!!
I'm summing from my DAW (Ableton live or Logic) into the MIO console and i'm trying to set up the following;
OK - I have DAW 1-18 streaming back into the MIO console. From there, I've created an AUX drum bus and sent DAW 1-2 to that bus. From that bus, I'd like to send/return to my Fatso (sent on analog 5/6, returned on analog in 5/6). I'll send DAW 3 to a single AUX mono bass bus, and send that out to my Distressor on analog 4 and returned on analog in 4), and finally I also have an SSL G series that I'd like to sit on the master, but it's currently sitting on an AUX (analog i/o 7&8) that everything else is routed to.
Now this seems like a convoluted way to go around things. Can anyone have a look and see if I'm heading in the right direction and if there's a more economical way to do this?
Pls find attached my MIO file.
Thanks guys,
Maxi

Hi,
Why not insert I/O plugins on the individual channels that you want to patch to the external gear? It sounds like you only need 5 channels of analog I/O for that. I notice that you're using mono channel strips for your DAW 1-2; I would change that to a stereo input channel instead because that would allow you to use a stereo I/O insert plugin to access the Fatso. By the way, I would do the same for any other stereo inputs from the DAW. You'd then have to de-select the current direct out assignments that you've made to free up the necessary I/O for the I/O insert plugs. I'll upload a new MIO console setup and some screen shots.
Hope this helps,
Tom
