I want to set up my SPL Compressor with my 2882 2D, but as soon as I send a 1000 hz Testtone from my DAW to the Mio Console it goes haywire.

All the faders go down and multiple channels blink like they're being selected. Anybody know what's happening here?

It sounds like you are sending midi to Mio console that is being interpreted as Mackie control protocol
Make sure you don't have random midi assigned to the control surface ports in the Mio console preferences
