Hi All
I fired everything up the other day, went to continue work on a project in Logic, my guitar seemed flat to the session. So did my bass! I checked with my tuner, all in tune. My session was playing back audio (midi also) through the ULN8, no joke, at approximately half a semitone sharp! I thought there was something wrong with my ears, or I was going mad or something. Last nights session wasn't that loud!
SO, process of elimination. I reverted to an earlier session, restarted Logic, restarted the computer, checked sample rates, scoured Logic settings like a mad-man, same problem!! I wasn't even sure how to work my google search to describe the issue!
Next step...I tried an audio file outside of Logic, just in the Finder - same thing!! So...not Logic after all. Rebooted computer - same problem! Closed MIO Console and re-opened, even tried a different template. No change! I was beginning to consider the universe was rebelling against me by altering the laws of physics - like an end of the world scenario (nothing would surprise me at this super weird time in history!) - but maybe I've watched too many sci-fi movies.
Ok...turned off ULN8, tried with Core Audio through the TB Display speakers - WE HAVE A WIN - all good, no pitch shift!
Power cycled the ULN8 - problem solved! Back to concert pitch!
It's only done this once and hasn't done it since, but I must say it had me baffled for a while!!
Just thought I'd share that in case it happens to somebody else.
Cheers!
Nathan
