The help documentation on the installation disk shows a Monitor Control configuration where an "iTunes" source is visible.
I have managed to recreate this just superficially but I can't actually link to the actual application.
Any tips on how to make this work?

In that case it is not an actual link to the application. It's just a source for Host 1+2 (or wherever we had the "speakers" set for computer audio in Audio MIDI setup). Naming it iTunes is perhaps a bit misleading. Sorry about that.
