Hello,
It's my understanding that core audio can report back all the interface I/O names. DP, for instance, can use this reading fom core audio.
Is this something I can take better advantage of and put my own labels on the MIO hardwares I/O so that I can just have my audio programs read those labels (and theoretically I wouldnt need to rename those I/O again in each program.)?
I have enough channels that's it's a pain to relabel things in multiple DAWs when I would imagine that if the MIO driver reported my custom names then I could just use those right away. Ive got numerous pieces of outboard gear on specific channels and like referencing them by their names. Peak Pro is awful in this regard, but having the driver report names would likely help over DAWs I have. Wondered if this is correct, and if this naming is possible using the MH hardware.
