Hi Folks
New to the MIO console Mixer as I've recently got a 2D 2882, i'm used to the old version, wondering about some monitoring / routing.
Set up is
2882 A - Legacy < - ADAT - > Prism Orpheus
Firewire
2882 B - 2D expanded < - ADAT - > Motu 828
I'm monitoring and clocking from the prism orpheus, which is sending and receiving over ADAT through "2882 A".
I'm seeing all 32 inputs in the DAW.
My question is can I monitor the inputs from "2882 B" through the orpheus via MIO Console without hitting the DAW? What is the shortest route for the audio Inputs on 2882 B to the outputs if i'm monitoring this way?
Is there a way if I swap the 2882 units around so that "A" is 2d expanded?
Many thanks for your time !
Andy

You can get two boxes in the same mixer (of the 4 you have listed). If you had 2d in both boxes you could have all the faders for all the boxes in one surface and use an AES or SPDIF 2-Bus tie line to tie together the mixers into one combined bus.
So to do what you are trying to do, yeah, you kind of need the second box to be a 2d box.
That being said, at this late date, I would recommend you wait for us to release the 3d card, and upgrade both boxes to 3d - that will give you a truly integrated mixer across all the boxes (and an integrated audio device for your host).
