Is there a way I can mute a channel via the shuttlxpress.

I want to be able to mute the talkback microphone while recording.

I am aware of the talkback function, but I cant seem to mute the specific channel.

Thanks and happy new year,

Not that I am aware of. But if you are using it as talkback, it doesn't need to be unmuted in the mixer (it doesn't need to be in the mixer at all). Maybe you can explain in more detail what you are doing and we can make a recommendation...

So, if you use the talkback controller, it will manage it; you don't need to have the TB mic in the mixer (or you can have the channel muted). So are you not using the talkback controller?

Sorry but its a bit confusing.

I use ana out 3-4 as send to the HP preamp, in my vocal booth.
But when I try to set it up in cues, nothing comes out.
All I want to do is to mute the TB microphone, when I record.

So you want the main mix to go to Analog 3-4, and you want the talkback mic to only be active when you want to talk back?

Are you recording with Session or with a DAW?

To use the Talkback:

Set the talkback source to your talkback mic

Create a Cue
Set its outputs to analog 3+4
Set its source to Main (or MC)
In the Hamburger menu for the cue, make sure that "Cue Listens to Talkback" is checked.

Then, Analog 3+4 will have the Main mix played back, and if you hit the talkback button, your talkback mic will be mixed in with the cue source; you can control how much the cue source is dimmed. As long as talkback is not enabled, the talkback mic will be muted.

In this case, you don't need the talkback mic routed (or unmuted) in the mixer

I prefer cheeseburger. But a Hamburger will suffice.

Got it working thanks a bunch.
