Linking 2882 2d to ULN-8 3d as a 16 channel set up? [message #87758] Tue, 29 September 2020 09:36

Hi there -

I upgraded my ULN-8 to 3d with 2 ADAT + 1 S/PDIF edge-card.
I just bought a 2882 2d to use as converters for external preamps.
Both work independantly throught their own MIOConsole.

I'd like to have the ULN-8 as the master and link the 2882 to it via ADAT.
I'm trying to have them running together but the MIOConsole3d doesn't seem to get any signal coming from the 2882.

Is the problem coming from a 2d/3d compatibility?
Is there any way I can make it work w/o upgrading the 2882 to 3d?

Thanks and best,

Pierre

It works the other way around with ULN-8 slaved to 2882 as the master. Everything running into MIOConsole.
So it must be coming from MIOConsole 3d right?
I mean it'a bit of a shame using 2882 as main unit when you have ULN-8 at your disposal...

Thanks again,

Pierre

Can you loopback audio on the 2882 ADAT? Does that give you signal on the 2882 input?

If you are getting signal when you loop back the 2882 to itself, then all the routing and output on the 2882 is working.

If you don't then there is either a problem with the 2882 output or the routing on the 2882.

If you can get the signal looped back, then reconnect the 2882 output to the ULN-8 input.

In the Digital I/O... status, is it locked to the ADAT?
