Hello,

today I wanted to use my LIO-8 or ULN-8 with the iPAD Pro (2020) and Cubasis 3. Both devices are recognized by the iPad and Cubasis and I can use them.

However, only 4 channels for in- and output are available. Can anyone tell me if this is currently the maximum of the addressable channels with an ULN-8 or LIO-8 on an ipad Pro 4th Gen / iOS 13 ?

And will there be any invest goes to more native iOS support in the future ? Its becoming a huge market and I wonder how Metric Halo is going to support this in the near future.

You control how many I/O channels the MIO presents to the USB host (the iPad in this case) via MIOConsole.

See:

for more details.

If the USB configuration is set to more than 4 channels, then it is the Cubasis app that is limiting the number of physical I/O that you can use.

Well BJ, as long as the ULN Hardware cannot operate standalone it makes no difference. I want to use the ipad independently. Otherwise I could directly work on my MacBookPro. You know that

You asked about the channel count; that's what I answered. The setting you make for USB in MIOConsole is stored in the HW, it is persistent.

I am sorry BJ, i have mistaken this for saving and recalling MIO presets in standalone mode which is not yet available.
thanks for clarification !
Kind regards
