Greetings,
I wasn't sure whether to post this in interfaces or mio console board. It's my first post so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.
I got a uln2 and 2882 about 4 months ago and have been thrilled at the way they have changed my tiny basement studio for the better. My problem is that I must be too thick to connect them through mio console properly. I have watched the tutorial on this about 30 times and have wasted hours trying to figure it out.
What I need to do is connect 4 ch of outboard pres to my 2882, plus the 4 internal 2882 pres, route them via adat and AES to the uln and send them to pro tools 10 on my iMac. I've gotten close but no cigar.
All I am asking of the forum is that someone send me screenshots of their mio setup and mixer configuration doing basically the same thing I am trying to do. I didn't post for a long time because it seemed too stupid a question, what with the tutorial video and all. But I need help more than I need my pride!
My setup is SO simple, and this is why it's been such a pain that I can't get it to work.
here's the gist of it:
Outboard pres > 2882 2d expanded FW > ADAT/AES > ULN2 2d expanded FW > iMac 10.6.8 > PT10
If anyone can stoop to my level and send pictures I would be forever thankful. I've been using the heck outta the ULN but I'm really missing the color of some of my older pres. I would like to set MIO up permanently with a total of 10 inputs, 8 adat and 2 aes and then have these correspond to my PT. I'm not looking to have anything mobile, just a fixed installation. If you look at my equipment you will understand what a Luddite I can be...
Thank you!
Al
