Here is my little problem...
I do own 1xULN8 and 2x2882/2D...
I recently added another 2882 NON 2D (legacy)
in hope for a sooner arrival of the 3D card...
Now I have a production where I need more inputs...
So I added it to my setup..
I am working in 96khz on a MPro...ElCapitain/LPX...
Uln8 and one 2882 are sharing one FW port.
One 2882 is on its own bus (via thunderbolt).
Works fine...though I sometimes have to power off/on one or more of the units until all are recognized... (In the morning)
(No reset required,just unplug/power cycle)
As soon as they are up and running I can restart the Computer without problems...
only when they where power shut down (over night) then I have some hiccups till it's working...
But that is not a big problem and rarely occurs...in the 3 Unit all 2D setup...
Now as I added the 4th unit the problems got worse...
First:
I tried to hook it up as the 2nd unit on the 2nd FW bus....(FW out/FW in) could not get it recognized...even after resetting the unit....
Added a third FW bus (Thunderbolt out MP) for the legacy 2882...
After a reset of the unit I could make it work...
Now:
Unfortunately the legacy 2882 hangs up after a while (hours) with no reason...(using Logic ProX)
To get it back to work I have to restart,reset and reconnect the Unit(s)...
Then it works again for a while...(again hours)
When units are shut down over night It now will not work for sure...I have to reset the unit(s) and restart a few times until all units are recognized...
As long as I do not power them off (and no unit has hung up) I can restart the computer and every unit would still be recognized right away...
But again after some hours of use the legacy unit hangs up....
(I saved as boot state,but that did not help btw.)
So...
am I demanding too much bandwidth with four units
in 96k?
or...
is the mix between 2d and legacy a problem?
or...
do I have a faulty unit?
Any help or suggestions appreciated....
