My ULN-2 has started to click/crackle on recordings. At first I thought it was my mics but I have tried recordings with others and get the same results. All software, firmware and drivers are up to date on both my Macbook Pro and ULN-2.
I don't hear it when monitoring, only on playback of the recorded file. Everything else, not recorded (i.e. exiting music track) sounds fine. This makes me think that it has to be somewhere in the ADC process.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am currently using the ULN-2 on sound design job.

This appears to be a Core Audio issue, since it has been reported on other hardware as well. As I said in the other thread, we have not been able to reproduce the problem here; that doesn't mean we're denying that customers are experiencing issues, but we can't fix it (or help Apple fix it) until we can see it. I would encourage you to open a ticket with support and give them the info they need so that we can attempt to see the problem first hand.

in addition to my above post, all my other soundcards (MR816x and an Audiobox) are working fine under 10.8.2 which leads me to believe that this is actually a driver problem with the MIO? anyone experimented in this regard?
Late 2011 MBP i7, 8 Gb RAM, OSX 10.8.2, Metric Halo ULN-2, Focal CMS65 Monitors

same here. I hope that support will send hot fix patches soon . I am just started an opera recording. ULN-8 is the only interface with these problems. I cannot believe !! RME and Mytek with no problems at all. Must be a Metric Halo issue..hate to say that
just got a very quick hotfix from support- thanks Jon !

Is anyone here getting funny issues with MIO console tho? It crashes every now and then, and then I have to restart the computer in order to get audio output again?...
sometimes I take my laptop from work and plug it in here into the uln-2 and i get no output... then i can see the driver in sound devices/system prefs.. but no output - not visually on the hardware meter either... i use a couple of templates and still nothing - from logic and from itunes etc...
In such a case i go to Audio MIDI setup and where the ULN should be it says unknown...
only after restarting the computer (which always hangs! and i have to force shut down! ) it works again
overall my recent experience after updating to mountain lion and logic 9.1.8 has been a really dismal one, never before (even on my Windows days!) has my computer been so unstable
