The only thing different from what I can see in the fully updated LIO-8 is in the patch points.
So does the LIO-8 not have send returns as the ULN-8 does? but only has patch outs?

The LIO-8 does not have Mic Pres. It also does not include the +DSP license.

Both of those can be added to a LIO-8 after the fact.
