Hi everyone,

I have two ULN-2's, one of which is 3D. I want to connect it to ethernet, but the ethernet on my computer (2019 iMac) is already being used for a control surface. To be able to use two of them, what do I need to get for an ethernet router or switch?

You can either use a Gigabit Ethernet Switch on your computer's port to share it with the Control Surface and with the MIO. Or you can add an additional USB controller for the control surface. Either way should work.

Thank you, BJ! Is there a certain kind of ethernet switch I should get? I see some running for less than $100 and others going for $400-$500. I, of course, want to get what works, but I don't want to spend more money than I have to.

I've been using the Netgear small unmanaged gigabit switches. ProSafe GS108 (8 port) or GS105 (5 port) - they work fine. They are both under $50.

Alternatively you can get a USB to GIgE adapter for your computer and put the control surface and MIO on separate network ports. Get a USB3 Gigabit adapter (USB3 or USB-C depending on your computer). Anker makes ones that are known to work. This should be well under $30.

Either approach gets you going. Adding a USB Enet adapter is probably slightly better as there is no mixing of the traffic between the Audio interface and the Control surface...
