I posted this on the Forum because I wanted to know if anyone else is having similar problems.

Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
3.4 GHz intel Core i5
40 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

I have two Lio-8 3d.
When connected via USB, I frequently experience a momentary loss of sound. If I connect via Ethernet, this does not happen.
At first I thought it was a CPU power issue, but I adjusted the buffer size of the DAW and it was not.
When I use two Lio-8s by themselves, it also happens on each of them, so it is not a hardware problem.

This trouble did not occur in the 2nd version.

The same event happens when playing itune.

I know that I should use it on Ethernet, but I mainly use ableton, and I learned from Forum that it has trouble in using it on Ethernet, so I decided to connect it with USB, but I am worried about it.

What do you think could be the cause?
Please let me know if you have a solution.
Thanks.

USB, AFAIK, does not support mutibox linking.

Ethernet is THE choice to use with more than one box.
Have you tried using ethernet with Ableton?
I'm using my two 2882 3d over ethernet with Ableton live 9 with no issues

2012 MBP
2015 i7 Hackintosh
2x 2882 3d
MIOConsole : 6.0.0 [6296]
Driver : 2.1.03
Digital Performer 10.13

Thanks for the reply Niccolo

I understood that USB multi-boxes are not supported yet.
I reduced the number of channels used and the problem is almost gone.

I have tried the ethernet connection with two LIOs, but when I try it with the latest version of MIO,
I get noises like CPU overload with buffer size of 512 or 1024. I'm having trouble with this when I'm doing mixes
and using high-load plug-ins in my DAW.

I'm using Ableton Live 10.
I am having the above problem with Ableton Live 11.

I've read in the forums that Ableton is having problems with ethernet connections, so they recommend connecting via USB.

Has this problem been resolved?

The problem has been partially solved.

I did the settings regarding ethernet that were in the PB7 text
(I didn't check... sorry).

With an ethernet connection, ableton now works fine with a buffer size of 1024, and audio crashes at 2048.
