I have the 1st gen legacy 2882 with firewire (1394 on the box). Before I dive in a purchase a new imac m1 chip machine, is it going to be possible to connect the two without any major upgrades, is there a way I could possible get the 2882 modded to USB type C or similar to make it more compatible with the new mac? Are there any standard cables that will connect the two machines? Any ideas?

Thanks Guys

Darren

Yes their is a USB-C (and more) upgrade.. The 3D upgrade is what you need. MH has a driver for M1 machines that works perfectly! I upgraded my 2882 and my 3D board for my ULN2 is with me this week.... You wont regret it! Smile
