I have two 2882s connected in serial to a Mac Mini via Ethernet. I'm outputting through Analog 7-8 on the second 2882. When playing 96k files (actually anything above 48k) I'm getting severe constant crackling sound. Any suggestions?

It looks to me like the DSP is overloaded on the first box, which is causing the crackling.

Try removing some plugins to verify that this is the source of the problem; if it is, then we can see if we can figure out how to get the plugins distributed better between your two boxes.

yes, that did the trick. cleared the mixer and started from scratch, DSP is down to 19% on the first box and 18% on the second box. How to distribute DSP better going forward?
