ULN 8 and Ableton live [message #88088]

Hi, I've been switching between my ULN 8 and an UAD apollo twin and for some reason ableton live 11 shows 10% ish less cpu when connected to Apollo.
Why would this be? is there any settings I could try to resolve this?

Possibly because you have more I/O channels running when you are using the MIO. If you are using MHLink, by default the I/O channel count is 32in/32out. I suspect the twin is much lower than that, and the host will spend time processing those channels, even if it is just filling them with silence.
