For a project I need to use an AVB Audio Interface. My main main Interface is a LIO8 3d via MHLink. On my desktop Mac is running MacOS 10.14.6 as is my Macbook Pro 2012. Both use the same ethernet driver version of AppleBCM5701Ethernet.kext. When I'm switching the network cable of the LIO into the AVB Interface ( a MOTU 24Ao) on my desktop the Audio Midi Setup shows the new AVB interface right away. On my Macbook I have first have to remove the MHLink.kext and reboot before I see the AVB Interface in the Audio Midi Setup.
Does anybody have the same problem? It would be great to switch back and forth on my Macbook as easy as on my desktop...

If it works on one machine but not on the other (both running the Same OS and same Ethernet NIC), I am kind of at a loss to explain what would cause that.
You should probably open a support ticket so we can guide you through capturing and supplying the System log so we can see if there is anything logged that might provide a clue..
