Yesterday I did a restore on my my Mac (Yosemite 10.10.5).

Today my Mac has crashed 8 times, each time with the LIO-8 turned on. I can't get it to crash with it turned off. I downloaded the newest copy of the MIO Console this morning (which, if I remember correctly, is the only driver I need). I've had the LIO for years now and this is the first time I've had this incessant crashing. Any ideas?

You need to install the driver that is included in that MIO Console package (e.g. the MIODriver_5.4d232_Universal.pkg). That version or newer (and there is no newer version at the current time) is required for proper operation on Yosemite.
