I have been trying to send TOSlink output from my ULN/2 Expanded + DSP to my Sony PCM-D50. The interface receives digital signals from the Sony, but I can't seem to get the Sony to record digital signal from the ULN/2. Apparently, the Sony uses SPDIF encoding and which is identified by a header (and not by clock) on the recorder. The PCM-D50 has an optical SPDIF input, and I made the assumption that this would be equivalent to the signal from the TOSlink output on the ULN.2. Has anyone successfully done this? What sort of configuration should I set the ULN/2 to? Currently, I am using 96, internal clock, light pipe set to TOSlink, and set the Sony to 96/24 (although it might be irrelevant if the signal auto-determines the sample rate). This might not be feasible with the equipment, but it would be fantastic to be able to do this.
Any help or further troubleshooting recommendations would be greatly welcomed.

I was actually able to get it to work last night, but it only detects a signal at 44.1/16 bit. I think the problem is that the PCM-D50 needs the header, and not the clock, of the signal (coming from the ULN/2) to tell it what the sample rate and depth is. Without this, I will only be able to send digital signals at that default sample rate.
