So having numerous problems connecting over ethernet.

Initial issue of installing driver preventing mac pro from booting solved via terminal, and somehow got some sound and it showed up in Audio/Midi set up.

Switched machine on today and nothing...comp won't see ULN8, can't update MIO console to the firmware.

Anyone got any idea what's happening?

The driver is probably not loaded. You can check to see if it is loaded with the following command in the terminal:

kextstat | grep -i mhlink

If there is a line in the output that looks like:

161 0 0xffffff7f8467b000 0x1b000 0x1b000 com.mhlabs.kext.MHLinkEnetFilter (2.0.43) 6226E819-41AE-30F2-BFC5-0BF615D22695 <133 22 5 4 3 1>

Then it is loaded; otherwise it is not.
