A more serious question than my last one.

^ Has anyone tried that? I'm going to be recording 4-5 talking heads, each with his/her own mic, and I'd like to use my MacBook Air.

It's a 1.4GHz i5, early 2014, bought just for traveling (general computer activities)... i.e. not a powerhouse machine. I only need it to record - okay, let's say eight simultaneous tracks to an SSD (if I put up a stereo pair in addition to the individual mics).

Using the power supply for the 2882 is no problem - I don't need the computer to power it.

Am I asking for trouble with that computer and adapter?

Yeah -- it's fine. I would not expect any problems.

Thanks BJ.

Hope it's all good, by the way - it's been a long time!
