I'm starting to get a few chirps and discharge type sounds and after my external preamps spent some time with the tech I'm starting to think some of the gremlins might be coming from the analog section of the 2882. Just wondering about which caps need replacing, their values, and if there are any other upgrades or maintenance things I should take care of while it's in for a tune up. Kudos to MH for a product with such a long lifespan that this is even an issue!!

Any advice on this bj? Anyone? I imagine i'm not the first with some of these units being in the field for 15+ years.

We don't really see cap problems with 2882s. It could happen, especially if the box was run hot for many years, but we don't have a lot of data. Best thing to do would be to open a support ticket so we can evaluate what is happening with the box and make some recommendations based on the specific symptoms.
