Hello

I just returned to the ULN-2 after not using MH hardware for 10 years or more. Really outstanding job MH did with 3D and that's why I'm back with two ULN-2s now.

Only problem I'm finding with ULN-2 3D and the MIOConsole3D v.pb 9 is my hardware monitor knob is not functioning. Latest ULN-2 firmware installed.

The MIOConsole3D Monitor Controller works fine controlling my JBL speakers, either via analog or digital. But, I have never been able to get the ULN-2 monitor knob to work.

Now I'm wondering if the ULN-2 monitor knob will only function if the UNL-2 is in stand alone mode (not connect to my Mac)?

Appreciate any help guidance.

What do you mean by "not functioning"?

The Monitor Knob on the ULN-2 is an analog domain pot; it doesn't connect to the monitor controller; it simply changes the gain between the DAC and the monitor jacks. If it was not functioning, I would think you would not have any output on the monitor output jacks...

So, is it changing the gain on the Monitor Output?

Thanks for responding.

I have a 1/4" TRS jack inserted in the ULN-2 Analog Out. The JBL speakers are receiving audio with the level controlled by the MIOconsole3D Monitor Controller. The monitor knob on the ULN-2 does not have any effect on audio level to the JBL speakers. That's what I meant by non functioning.

The monitor knob on the front panel controls the gain to the Monitor output jacks (not the analog output jacks). If you want to use the FP monitor knob to change the output gain, you need to plug your speakers into the the Monitor output jacks, not the Analog out jacks.
