Hello,

Can anyone please confirm that 2d cards installed to different units are actually the same device? I'm bidding on 2d card that was taken out of uln8 and wanted to make sure it will fit/work for ULN2 box. I realize there are different back panels for different devices, however I won't use the ADAT so second question would be: if it fits, will it be okay to not hook up the newer adat unit at all. Otherwise I might just leave it connected inside without changing a back panel.

Sorry, no - you can't use a 2d card for a ULN-8/LIO-8 in the ULN-2 or 2882 (or vice versa); you need a ADAT 2d Card for 2882 and ULN-2 - it has different routing to the analog card as well as the different Digital I/O.

Why not just move to 3d?

Ok got it, thank you. That card would run me $100 something, 3d used isn't around anywhere and costs $500-$600, I have spend most of the budget on studio gear already.
