When I'm listening through my 2882 the mac's own play button in the finder window doesn't play mono audio files, only stereo. When I switch to the mac's built in output and monitor through the 3.5 headphone jack they play just fine. Seems to have been like this a while but I've only just got round to posting to see if there's a solution..
(I had a look in Audio MIDI Setup but there was nothing there that seemed to help)

bj wrote on Sun, 08 August 2021 15:11You have to go into the "Configure Speakers" for the MIO in Audio MIDI setup and explicitly set the speaker routing for Stereo and 2.0 surround. That should make it route correctly for Mono too. This is a weird CoreAudio thing...
I switched it to 2.0 Surround and at first they wouldn't play at all. So I switched it back to Stereo and then they played.
Then I switched it back to 2.0 Surround and they still play.
Strange, but I'm not arguing..
Thank you!
