Round Trip Latency Lio8 mkiv - is this too high? [message #88589]

Hi,
I have just received my new LIO8 Mkiv. I had my old unit for 11 years during which time I used it pretty much every day. The new unit is even more impressive, although I was hoping for an improvement in the round trip latency (I'm a guitar player and monitor through software). The RTL at 48k with a 64 sample buffer is 8.8 msec. This is on an M1 MacBook Pro, with the unit connected directly to the computer (no hub). Does this seem unusual? Is there any way to improve on this? A smaller buffer of 32 samples improves on this a tiny bit, but is not practical for a lot of sessions. I'm using MIO Console 6.1.02 and have the unit updated to 6.0.176 firmware.
