headphones directly from LIO line outs ? jumpers needed ? [message #86919]

My old Rane headphone amp is dying, and a friend (not a MH user) told me that I could run headphones directly from the line outs on my LIO without a separate headphone amp. I tried this on outs 3-4 since I had the correct cabling for those. I could hear what was going on in the console, but it wasn't very loud, and it was 3 channels of drums at the loudest levels I would normally use.

Can anyone confirm that runnind headphones out of the line outs is a legit strategy ? If you are doing this, did you install jumpers to raise the line out levels ? If so, are the jumpers something you need to get from MH support ? I don't see them in the store.
