Hello everyone,,
I normally use my ULN-8 only for recording, meaning that I'm doing my mixes itb. So, the only
DA conversion I'm doing is to feet my monitors.

As I'm planning to integrate some outboard equipment I wanted to do a little loopback test to
find out how many conversion it takes to audibly decrease of the sound quality.

So I did the first DA-AD conversion and I experienced a gain loss of more than 3dB.
I'm on unity gain, going out on line +4dB level and coming in on the same level. I made sure
that this problem of gain loss doesn't have something to do with my DAW, panning law, cables or whatever.

It really makes me wonder why and where the gain reduction takes place. I'm particularly concerned about the question
whether the gain loss is normal but I think that the gain loss shouldn't be more than 0,5dB at one DA-AD conversion.

I hope you guys can help me out!!!!
