FW 2882 not waking from sleep w/10.14.4 - any way to splash water on its face? [message #87145]

Until the latest update I've been able to sleep my 5,1 Mac Pro with a Logic session open, then go right back to the session when I wake the machine.

This has changed in the latest Mojave - Logic plays, but about 75% of the time the audio isn't getting to the interface.

Any ideas about how to jump-start the MH driver into action? It's not a huge deal, but it means I have to quit Logic and reload the session - which with SSDs is less of a deal than it used to be, but it takes a couple of minutes to load 40GB of samples.
